What Are The Universal Laws?!

colette8.24

Have you ever wondered what your role is in the grand scheme of life and the Universe?

Universal laws give us a somewhat simple way of understanding how the Universe works and how we work inside of it. Just like there are physical laws such as the law of gravity that explain the way the physical world operates, there are also invisible laws of how the Universe works.

Imagine the Universal laws as moving threads weaving together to form the tapestry of life. When you weave a tapestry, there are horizontal threads and vertical threads, which come together to create a fabric.

Your role in the Universe is like one of these two sides – you might be the horizontal threads and the Universal laws are the vertical. Together, you are weaving and co-creating. You are impacting and influencing reality just as much as it’s impacting and influencing you.

When you begin to grasp these laws and live in harmony with them, you can experience a sense of trust in the Universe and in life and create a life that’s in alignment for you.

Let’s go over some of these laws and what they mean…

This Four-Letter-Word Can Save You

jholland8.24

Have you noticed all the tension in the air these days? Stress has become a regular companion for many of us, especially when our plates continue to overflow with responsibility. Add to that job stress, financial worries, family arguments, car trouble, the annoying driver who’s tailgating us or the person in our grocery line who’s taking their sweet old time…and our anxiety levels creep closer to the verge of explosion.

In a recent study by Gallup, people from various countries were asked to describe what stress means to them. They mentioned words such as problems, anger, fear and anxiety. Some people even related stress to feelings of overthinking, powerlessness and aging. But what this study didn’t show is that stress is often the result of a disconnection with our soul. When we’re united in partnership with our soul, all things fall into place.

As souls, we are all connected to each other. And as sensitive empaths, we can’t help but feel this surge of anxiety and stress around us that can blur our peaceful nature. How do we stop ourselves from overreacting? How do we let go? How do we get back our power and reconnect with our tranquil soul?

7 Things To Do When You've Been Betrayed

deepak8.23

Everyone has had the bitter experience of being betrayed, when someone we trusted violated that trust. After being betrayed, most of us want two things, usually at the same time. We want to get even with the person who hurt us or we want to rise above the situation and offer that person forgiveness. But neither of these impulses usually helps. Getting even with someone usually boomerangs and makes you feel as bad as the person you wanted to hurt. Forgiveness, especially if half-hearted, tends to come off as condescension.

What is really needed is emotional intelligence, which works in two ways. First, you realize the probable outcome of what won’t work—as we just saw, the impulse to get even or to forgive predictably won’t work. It’s good to know this in advance, but emotional intelligence also has to tell you what will work, and why. That’s the second step if you want to recover emotionally after being betrayed.

Bring Your Loneliness into the Light of Your Self

guy8.23

We're about to learn about a new kind of understanding with the power to transform “dark” moments into liberating self-discoveries. Let’s get started…

We don’t yet see “problems” for what they really are: a part of the Light within us that we have yet to perceive! Any thought or feeling that troubles us in mind or heart, any fear or worry, is like a candle not yet lit. What purpose has any flame or light—in any form we may find it—other than to enter into and transform what is dark into more of itself?

For instance, maybe we turn around one day and find ourselves caught in the dark grip of some kind of fear. Perhaps we see the one we love “looking the other way;” maybe a phone call delivers uncertain news about our deteriorating health; or someone tells us about a forthcoming change at work that threatens our sense of security.

In moments such as these our future grows as dark as it seems full of the loneliness, worry, and loss we see coming our way. But our lives need not be swallowed up in unconscious servitude to this kind of suffering. We have another choice if we will only dare be still and be the Light. Here now are some ways to practice realizing the truth of your Self. Each case begins with remembering to make the new choice that follows:

How Our Loved Ones Communicate With Us After Their Death

pollyw8.21

The older we get, most of us have suffered the loss of a loved one. This can be hard even if you do believe in life after death. Keep reading and discover how our loved ones communicate with us after their death, and how you can communicate with them.

My schedule was packed full. I was taking off for a long weekend trip to Alaska for a wedding. My very talented hair stylist reached out and needed to change our appointment. The new schedule was perfect; but then she had to change it again because of an unexpected event.

In order for the new schedule to work we met on Sunday. The studio was empty except for the two of us. I can’t remember how the subject came up, but we began talking about death and life after death.

Our conversation was very candid and would not have been so deep, if other people were around. There was a little magic that happened to create a private setting. My hair stylist, Lisa, was just exploring the possibilities of life after death.

I began picking up on an older gentleman around her, like a grandfather. I saw light colored denim. He was also showing me flowers, lots of flowers. He also showed me he was very persistent.

Her grandfather had passed, and had worn light denim overalls. His wife, still living, has lots of flowers. We talked a little more about him and his wife. I mentioned again the flowers and how persistent he is!

Leader vs. Manager: Know the Difference & Be Successful

canfield8.19

Are you a manager… or are you a leader? An organization needs both types of people to be successful.

Leaders are visionary, big picture thinkers with the passion and charisma to inspire others to help them bring their vision to life.

Managers have analytic minds and organizational skills required to keep everything running smoothly and ensure that their team has what they need to succeed.

When it comes to leaders vs. managers, oftentimes, people are both.

The best managers tend to have great leadership skills and are able to empower and inspire their team to aim higher, dream bigger, and strive to get better results.

And many great leaders, having climbed the rungs of management to get where they are now, still have an innate sense of how to manage resources, and implement processes to ensure everything runs smoothly and that people have what they need to do their best work.

You don’t have to be a great leader to be an effective manager – but it certainly helps, especially if you dream of making a bigger impact on the world and on the lives of other people.

I want to help you develop your leadership skills and grow your understanding of how leadership and management compare and differ from each other. That’s why I’ve written this article!

A Unified Field of Potential

pd8.19

Anytime you get stressed out and overwhelmed and you wonder how it’s going to work out and how life is going to unfold, it’s because you’ve forgotten you are God. When you recognize this is not who you are and you make a shift in yourself, all of the obstacles fall away.

When you actually stop dividing up your energy, meaning you stop creating your energy into a form and you allow yourself to stay in wholeness, you operate as the totality of your unified field. God has taken infinite forms. The formless has taken infinite forms. And, through those infinite forms it is waking up to itself.

Mark Nepo's Weekly Reflection: As a Tuning Fork

marknepo8.19

Early on, I realized that being a poet was mostly about being an awake human being, which in turn was mostly about living each day as a tuning fork in the midst of life’s currents. As a young poet, I would stumble into a vision, or trip into a metaphor, or glimpse a truth, or be stopped by a deep question. Then, I’d reach for expression after expression in an effort to capture each of them. Of course, I’d inevitably miss because the only things worth saying are unsayable.

So I’d try again and miss again. I would get frustrated and press myself, trying to capture the original vision five, six, seven times. Why couldn’t I express what I was seeing and feeling? Why was I always missing? These things were so clear to me and yet I couldn’t render them accurately. What was I doing wrong?

Change Is Coming

juliem8.18
I don’t know you personally, but I have an idea who you are. You’re a parent, teacher, spouse, sibling,  and your family mean the world to you. You are a professional, and you want your job to feed you both literally and figuratively. You are committed to creating a better, more fulfilling life and you know that a part of that means improving the financial situation you are currently in.

And I know one more thing about you: you may be ready to make a change. A big change. One that will take you on a journey towards the life of you dreams.

I get it. I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to know there is more out there – to know that, although my life is find just the way it is, I am capable of more – but feeling overwhelmed and terrified at the thought of shifting. Opening up a finance firm with an emphasis on emotions and a loft office? Not too many people in this business thought it was a great idea.

But I knew my strengths; I was certain that the lessons I learned while on my own personal journey to financial fitness could help people, so I took the risk and made the change.

Imagine A Reality and Follow It Through

renee8.18
The greatest gift to mankind is life itself. It is a true adventure. Life should be joyful, fulfilling and drenched in happiness. A true prophecy of its own divinity. Most men and women are so bogged down by their day to day means of survival, that they forget to savor the wonders and fulfillment of just being alive.

It is in our own hands to change our life from boring, humdrum and painful, to vibrant and meaningful. We need to use our mental skills to change.

ATTITUDINAL CHANGE
Everything that goes on in our lives is actually stemming from the mind. If we change the way our mind works, we are actually changing our lives. The human species is in transition constantly. Evolution is also what can be described as change.

We all have certain thought patterns, and this is what is actually creating our lives. Changing these thought patterns would be actually leading to a change in our lives. Mankind instinctively would know that somewhere within is the power to change these thought patterns.

Why So Much Violence?

mpaul8.17

The violence in our society has sparked many discussions regarding the cause of such horrifying behavior. Why is this happening?

In my experience, it is not possible for us as human beings to be violent when we are connected to our soul and to our spiritual guidance. When we do the work we need to do to develop a spiritually connected loving adult, we have the ability to place limits on our behavior regarding harming ourselves and others.

However, many people lose touch with their true soul self. Since our soul – our inner child - holds our intrinsic feelings of compassion and empathy for others, losing touch with this aspect of ourselves may cause us to be able to harm others without feeling any pain or remorse over it.

The question is, how do we lose connection with our feeling soul self?

Are You Keeping Yourself Small?

sunny8.17
Today, let’s talk about keeping yourself small, staying hidden, not attracting a lot of attention, not standing out … being your whole self and showing everybody who you are.

So, first question is: do you tend to keep yourself small?

Now, the reason I thought about this topic is I had a conversation with a mentoring client recently … She said, when I was young, you were taught to not dream big, to not talk about it … don’t make a big deal about yourself, or about what you’re going to do.

And I’ve just kept thinking since then: How many of us were taught or trained into being smaller than we are, or being smaller than we feel like? How many of you have dreams that you don’t share with people because you don’t want to make them uncomfortable?.

Think about it for a minute: How many of you have struggled with keeping yourself small because you don’t want to make other people uncomfortable or because that was your training? And if you are doing that … then how do you think it sabotages your goals, your dreams, your desires, your visions, your wants for your life.

How To Use Your Intuition And Trust Synchronicities!

collete8.16

Have you ever experienced a coincidence that seemed to have a more profound meaning than simply just chance?

Maybe it was the fateful story of how you met your spouse, a spooky moment of missing a dangerous accident, or a chance encounter that changed your life forever.

These moments of “meaningful coincidence” are what Swiss psychologist Carl Jung called synchronicities. Moments when the Universe seems to align in a perfect way to help you learn, evolve, grow, or find the perfect next step on your path.

When you learn to attune yourself to these little moments, you’ll begin to find that they aren’t a matter of chance at all. They are the language of the Universe. The little ways Spirit talks and supports us on our path every single day.

Synchronicities can help you trust your intuition

The Generosity of Spirit: A Breakthrough

deepak8.16

Everyone has experienced a shared moment, when two people are having the same experience. Expand the moment into something continuous, and you have the experience of being in love. But there is also sharing when you feel empathy with someone else, as when you feel sorry for a child in distress or the victims of violence.

Nothing seems strange about shared moments, yet nothing about the human brain can explain how it happens. In the mainstream view of the brain, a mechanical physical process is totally necessary in order for brain cells to “talk” to each other. A storm of electrical charges and chemical reactions fills our heads, which seems totally obvious. But when you share a moment with someone else, something is going on outside your head. This is a huge contradiction, because having a brain outside your head is impossible.

3 Ancient Greek Myths That Remain Relevant in Today’s World

3 Ancient Greek Myths That Remain Relevant in Today’s World

Whenever people think of Greek myths, they often conjure up images of an imaginary past in which gods and goddesses interacted with humans and heroes went on epic journeys around the ancient world.

Some of Ancient Greece’s most famous myths were not only rooted in reality, but are also alive and well today.

Travelers can revel in the enduring legacy of these myths by standing on the soil where Amazon warriors displayed their incredible strength, where Hercules first lit the Olympic torch, and where the Oracle of Delphi guided people to discover themselves in order to understand the world around them.

These myths are part of ancient Greece’s enduring legacy, and continue to shape the country — and most of the world — to this very day.

1. The Amazons

According to Greek mythology, the Amazons were a tribe of female warriors that lived in Themiscyra, an area located in present-day Turkey.

Be Helpful

rhanson8.13

What can I do?

The Practice:
Be helpful.

Why?

I’m doing a series on my personal top five practices (all tied for first place). I have so far named three: meditate (including mindfulness, self-awareness, and, if you like, prayer), take in the good, and bless (including compassion, generosity, and love).

I saw one way to bless on a trip to Haiti in the efforts of many dedicated people: be helpful. As you probably know, Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, with roughly 80% unemployment. The national government seemed like a tattered sheet in the wind. The public middle and high schools I visited were missing half their schoolbooks as well as the funds for the last two grades. Imagine your own child in such a school . . . and that the $30 it takes to buy the books she needs is a month’s wages, as out of reach as the moon.

How To Feel Your Feelings And Let Go

kute8.11

Your feelings are a signal giving you feedback.

They are communicating to you, showing you, what you need to pay attention to.

We are conditioned to only feel what we think of as “positive” feelings. And we tend to do everything to avoid “negative“ feelings.

We must realize that the more we suppress our sadness, the more we limit our capacity to feel joy.

Consider this: Feelings are neither good or bad. These are just labels we place on them as a means of survival.

Feelings are feedback.

Feelings are energy.

It’s Called Evolution for a Reason

pd8.10

Many of you have spent all of your time being afraid of the past. Feelings, memories, things you went through, the past was the problem. Now you’re hyper-fixated on the future and you’re afraid of the future. Just when you’re freed up enough from your suffering, and what you’ve gone through, you have a problem of what might happen tomorrow. What makes you think that your future is going to be any worse than your past?

It’s called evolution for a reason. Evolution is a forward progression. We’re constantly expanding into more. At this moment, you are not who you used to be. Every future iteration of you is going to be more evolved and more loving than everyone that came before.

At some point we have to realize that we don’t need the past anymore. Some of you hold on to the past like Gollum did in Lord Of The Rings. . . my precious, my past, my story . . . I don’t know who I am without my story . . . this pain . . . my precious, my precious, my precious.

Mark Nepo's Weekly Reflection: The Garden in Our Heart

Nepo-8.09.21

I believe there is a garden in our heart where some part of everyone we’ve ever loved takes root. And no matter what happens in the world of circumstance, we continue to love them in that interior garden. We may lose someone to death, betrayal, mistrust, or cowardice. We may find that we fail each other, or discover that, love each other as we might, being together is toxic. Or we may be torn apart by world events—wars, injustice, or natural disasters. Yet we never stop loving them, not a one. And so, they live in the garden in our heart, waiting for us to visit them in our dreams and to summon their better angels in the still moments that we earn.

Recognizing this inner garden has changed how I react to the pangs of loss. When I miss someone who has turned hurtful or cruel, it doesn’t mean I need to resurrect the relationship. That I still love them doesn’t mean I have to undo my resolve and find a way to see them. More deeply, feeling my love for those who are absent means I need to go inward and spend time harvesting the lessons of how we came to love each other and how we came to hurt each other. Feeling their presence doesn’t mean I need to go back, but rather that I need to go forward, allowing the love I feel to evolve beyond the trials of our actual relationship.

Dreams Are Real

drsue8.9.21
In this Short Answer video, Dr. Sue invites us to ask the question, "How is the current situation calling us to rise, trust, open, and move?"

She explains how "dreams are real" because everything we're experiencing and walking through in our lives is a dream. Your response to everything that is happening in the world and in your life, is part of YOUR dream.

The invitation is to master the mind to respond to every moment with inquiry and curiosity rather than judging what is taking place.

This keeps us open to possibility and true creatorship in our life.
