Expansion, Not Decline

Expansion, Not Decline - Peggy Kornegger

Is your body demanding your attention lately? Are your emotions on edge? Do you feel as if your health is declining, your sense of optimism impaired? You are not alone. Almost everyone I know has been facing some kind of physical issue or challenge over the past year or so, including myself. Breast cancer flipped my daily world view upside-down. Yet, as I gradually learned to experience it with a peaceful, accepting heart, calm arose within me to face whatever I needed to without despair or negativity. My soul guided my body, mind, and feelings throughout. Sometimes we have to pass through depression or emotional upset to reach that overview, but it can happen. This is the challenge of these times we are living through, especially during a global pandemic.

How to Thrive by Living a High Vibrational Life That is Divinely Guided by Your Soul

How to Thrive by Living a High Vibrational Life That is Divinely Guided by Your Soul

It was a natural transition to intentionally connect with the love, light and guidance of my soul. The connection allows me to both see and feel the love and wisdom of my truth. I become infused with this powerful energy that helps me heal and make wise choices. This practice has allowed my soul to show me my highest vibrational path of this life.

We each have free will and a gazillion choices. With that being said, just for a second, imagine if you were guided to choose a life that offers the greatest love and happiness.

Where Do You Want to Live?

Where Do You Want to Live? - Peggy Kornegger

Some people live in the same place most of their lives; others move frequently over the years. Wherever you choose to go, your soul remains with you, as does your identity. The soul travels lightly, no passport, no possessions. The identity or ego, however, usually has a lot of “baggage” to declare. That baggage can take the form of either physical objects or nonphysical opinions and beliefs. Both can weigh you down, but the latter actually constricts your future experience. What you plan on, what you think should happen, places a limit on possibilities. It also limits whom you allow into your experience. The soul, without the opinions of the ego, would live life open-endedly, open-heartedly, inclusive of many kinds of experiences and people. An expansive circle instead of a small box.

Your Soul Has Your Back!

Your Soul Has Your Back! - Rick Hanson

Your soul is a fundamental part of you and it’s constantly feeling and listening to everything that’s happening in and around your life. It’s almost like a best friend standing by your side. If your soul sees that something’s not right or you’re heading for a negative turn, it’s going to do something about it.

Body and Soul

peggy12.31

The body sometimes assists the soul’s journey with quite dramatic insistence. After I completed a third chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer, my body let my doctors know very clearly that it had reached its limit. I had allergic reactions in the form of an inflamed rash/bumps all over my body, edema (fluid retention), and breakthrough bleeding beneath the skin (to name just a few). Treatment 4 was cancelled. This particular segment of my spiritual “firewalk” was complete.  My body is now being given time to reestablish equilibrium and prepare for radiation in a few weeks.

Tough Decision? Turn to Your Intuition

jholland10.20

Do decisions come easy to you or would you rather get someone else to make them? Whenever you’re facing a tough choice or need to make an important determination in your life, turn to the inner-guidance of your soul!

Whenever we make decisions based on intuition, we trust our feelings. The more we use our inner-guidance to lead us, the more our confidence builds and the better we get at it.

Try to acknowledge, honor and act upon feelings and signs that will nudge you in the right direction. That’s your soul talking! I remember a time when I was about to give a talk for a sold-out event. Several days before, I kept getting a nagging feeling to call the organizers and check on the equipment for the evening. Instead, my rational mind kicked in: “No, John, they’re professionals who have done this hundreds of times before. Let it go.” (I may be a psychic medium, but I don’t always pay attention to everything I feel.)

Is It Time to Press Your Pause Button?

jhollnad9.20.21

Have you lost your spark or feel uninspired lately? Has the stress of your job or family drama taken all you have left? Are you becoming more pessimistic about the monotony of life, the people around you or even yourself?

This is when you need to press your Pause Button!

When you begin to lose sight of your purpose and direction, your soul will be there—nudging you with signs and signals to step back from the relentless pace of your routine and rediscover your true nature.

I believe one of the purposes of my “Soul Inspirations” newsletter is to remind us that there will be times in our lives, even moments, when we forget that we’re a part of something greater than ourselves. We forget that we’re a Divine expression of God. This is when we need to make a conscious effort to remember who we really are at a soul level. How do we that? By hitting our Pause Button, taking a break from all the activities in our outer world and going within to connect with our souls.

True Love

Peggy8.1_20210811-160039_1

The word love sometimes loses its impact from overuse. We apply it to so many situations and recipients: people, food, places, experiences, clothing, cars, etc. In most of these senses, it signifies a strong preference or attachment of some kind. It doesn’t usually mean letting go or allowing, which is the greater sense of love. From a spiritual perspective, complete immersion in love is the highest attainment of a seeker on the path to self-knowledge and God realization. Within that experience, “attainment” and the path itself disappear in profound “loving awareness” (as Ram Dass called it). A deep light of unconditional love shines on everything and everyone, without expectation or judgment of any kind.

How to Overcome and Even Celebrate, When the Twisties Come into Your Life

pollyW8.6

This blog is written for those of us that have ever felt misalignment between our heart, soul, mind and body. There are times in our life, usually just before a big shift of awareness, where life doesn’t flow as easily. Some part of our inner communication system is blocked. The pressure builds and builds, all of a sudden, we have the twisties, life balance is compromised. Keep reading and discover how to not only overcome, but also celebrate the twisties.

This week I asked people on Instagram what they would like to read about in my blog. My favorite answer was Simone Biles’ case of the twisties.

Honestly, I think we should have a National Simone Day. She just took the first step in normalizing self-care, and pausing when life feels out of control, or in other words when we have the twisties.

What Would Your Soul Do?

jholland7.25

Do you ever feel out of alignment and confused and then you start hearing a loud voice in your head saying: “What am I doing?” “I can’t keep living like this” or “Something’s got to change”?  When you’re asking these questions, it’s usually a big clue that your soul is trying to get your attention.

I call these moments: Soul Cry Outs. Your soul is yelling out to you: “Hey! I’m here! I can help!” That’s what’s great about your inner guidance. It sends up signals to both your psychic and physical senses.

When you need a wake-up call, your soul stops at nothing to get it to you. You may even meet a stranger who will somehow give you the message. Your inner guidance can bring up a thought, an action, or even manifest a situation in your outside life to get you to stop and think about what’s happening in front of you.

It’s easy to get caught up in our day-to-day routine and we have a tendency to focus only on our physical world and the issues in front of us - and forget about our spiritual self and its needs.  We pull away from the Source that infuses our soul, which only exacerbates our feelings of being tired, drained or confused. But now more than ever it’s important to force ourselves to check in and reconnect with our soul for its power, wisdom and guidance.

Losing Someone You Love

IMG_3598-1200x900

“Yesterday a child came out to wander…”
—Joni Mitchell, “Circle Game”

Last month, a friend I’ve known most of my life passed away after a recurrence of cancer. It was not entirely unexpected, but it happened suddenly and was deeply shocking. I thought she would always be there—an unspoken assumption many of us probably have about close friends or family. We never imagine that they won’t be in our lives. Yet she was gone. And even the most profound spiritual beliefs about life after death cannot entirely prevent the initial heart pain of losing someone you love.

How to Access Your Soul’s Wisdom

meditating-picture

In the last Soul Inspirations article, I mentioned how you can find any answers you’re seeking by looking within to your soul. This week, I want to give you a meditation you can try to help you access this inner-wisdom anytime:

Find a safe, quiet and comfortable spot where you can sit with your feet planted firmly on the floor. Close your eyes and relax. Take a few deep breaths through your nose, exhaling slowly out of your mouth.

Now, bring your awareness to the bottom of your feet. Let your breath assist you in transferring this relaxing energy up through the bottom of your feet. Slowly work your way up to your calves, your thighs, your abdomen and your chest, directing this energy into these areas.

What Is God?

IMG_2668-1200x900

Who or what is God? A question without an answer really—or with an infinite number of answers. For God is not really a concept that can be explained or a puzzle that can be solved. God is an experience, one that is as unique as every individual on this planet or every soul in the universe. And it cannot be contained within any description or answered question. Perhaps metaphor comes closest to expressing what God is.  And we each have our own inner metaphors for the experience of the Divine.

For me, God is the seed at the center of all creation as well as the flower that arises from the seed. It encompasses creation itself. God’s essence is gender-free, formless. God is birth and death, inhalation and exhalation, shakti and shiva, yin and yang. God is the eternal harmony in which there are no false notes, the truth within which there are no opposites, the Oneness that holds everything. God is an endless ocean of love, a light that shines from each individual soul and from the collective Soul of the cosmos. There is nothing I can imagine that is not God, nothing I can experience that isn’t God.

Your Soul Knows Best

IMG_1964-1200x900

Sometimes it seems as if life is random, crazy, a mistake of cosmic proportions. It isn’t. There is intent and purpose woven into the fabric of the universe. And your soul knows this. Your soul chose this lifetime for its own evolution, for humanity’s evolution. We humans are on a collective journey through diverse Earth experiences to integrate polarities and find our way back to balance, peace, and harmony. The soul is our guide.

The challenge for the soul-as-human is to reach peaceful harmony within a physical form with its complex emotions, thoughts, and anatomical circuitry. At times it can seem overwhelming. However, if you remind yourself that your soul chose the scenarios and experiences of your lifetime for its own growth and expansion, then perhaps you can come to acceptance and even gratitude. It’s not necessarily something that will make sense to the mind, but your heart naturally allows life to flow through it. If you remain centered in your heart, life will feel more whole and less fragmented.

Masks

IMG_E2887-1200x900

This blog article is not about the pros and cons of mask-wearing. Instead, I’d like to suggest a possible deeper meaning for this whole phenomenon. All around the world, people are wearing masks, for mutual protection and individual/collective health. When I pass someone on the street here in Massachusetts in winter, I see eyes and a mask—and lots of clothing. COVID has made us almost unrecognizable, one from the other. Sometimes it seems eerie or surreal—a science fiction scenario. Yet people often wave or gesture in a friendly way as they go by, bridging the social distance between us. In our anonymity, we are still human. And maybe, ultimately, that may be the gift of COVID: to show us in an unforgettable ongoing visual that we are really all the same. The masks hide our differences, and our common humanity is clearly visible in our eyes.
