A Recent Shift of Mine
I began my day much like any other; meditation, coffee and some form of exercise. On this particular day, I was traveling with family in an unfamiliar city. We decided to walk to a nearby breakfast place.
My second chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer took place on 2 Qanil in the Maya calendar. The sacred symbol Qanil stands for “the seed that generates life and creation.” For me, a perfect analogy, because I envisioned life’s seeds of light and love being transmitted to me via the infusions, at the same time that I felt them radiating out from me in my own vibration. This is the circular process of God creating God in the world. We each embody God in our physical forms, and God experiences life through our experiences. As we create, or express our soul selves, God is creating simultaneously. The entire universe is a divinely designed participatory symphony of living light and love. I feel this almost continuously now.
In the second week after my first chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer, I began to lose my hair. Like a white angora cat, I shed hairs everywhere: on my clothing, in the shower drain, on my chair, in my hairbrush. Sometimes they drifted down onto my shoulders like cherry blossoms in the springtime; other times they clumped like small snowdrifts on my pillow. All of it strangely fascinating to me, as if they were bits of my identity falling away, freeing me even further at a soul level.
That may seem an odd way to view it; yet the process feels symbolic of a larger shedding that occurs as I clear out the clutter of a lifetime of identities. To be human is to move through many experiences and identities. I used to gather identities like flowers in a basket (flower child, activist, feminist, lesbian, writer, editor, spiritual seeker), feeling glad that I was eclectic and not tied to any one self-identification. I felt freer that way. As the years went by and my spiritual practice expanded, I began to realize that freedom is a much more expansive designation when viewed from the soul’s perspective.
“On a clear day, you can see forever.”—Burton Lane
Several years ago, after a somewhat worrisome eye diagnosis, I had the extraordinary experience of looking out my window and seeing the external world moving in perfect synchronicity to the Andrea Bocelli music I was listening to. Every detail—people walking, cars passing, tree leaves in the wind—was part of a divinely choreographed dance of deeply connected oneness. And I too was part of it. There was nothing in the universe that sat alone on the sidelines within God’s creation. And I could see this so clearly that the power and beauty of it moved me to tears. Infinity vision, beyond an eye diagnosis.
Many of you are living in this misunderstanding or false framework for what evolution is and what transformation looks like. You’ve got it all wrong about you. You are the most beautiful thing in creation.
What you have to get or understand or begin to become aware of is the fact that every aspect of you is true. The created self is true, everything you deemed as the contraction or what’s unlovable about you and the part where nothing matters, where everything is in a state of flow, that is also true.
I have straddled the worlds of western medicine and holistic health most of my life. As a child, I saw an Illinois allergist for many years who helped me with desensitization shots for my chronic multiple allergies. When I was 18, doctors in Venice, Italy, saved my life when my appendix burst on a trip with a student group. As an adult, I began to gravitate to alternative remedies like herbs, as well as acupuncture, chiropractic, homeopathy, massage, and meditation. I became an organic vegetarian. I continued to see my very supportive primary care physician for yearly checkups and prescriptions for migraines, but I was aware of the shifts in prevailing consciousness (and funding) that influence what is available at any given time. Every decision I made arose from my own intuition about which path served me best.
When I first heard the diagnosis “breast cancer,” I was lost in shock and fear. How could this happen in my life? To me?! After a few days, I gradually was able to re-center in the peace within me, to remember that everything that happens in my life is part of a soul plan that I was part of designing before my birth. Nothing is a coincidence, and everything is connected to everything else. I am one soul in one lifetime on one planet. Yet I am also part of the entire fabric of being in the universe. Sometimes it takes loss or crisis in our lives to fully realize this. When things fall away or apart, the long view becomes more visible.
As human beings, we have a compartmentalized hierarchical relationship with ourselves. That means that certain aspects of ourselves are okay and other aspects of us are not.
In the context of evolution, by virtue that you are a human being, you are here to be all of it. You can’t make the choice to be human and then fundamentally disregard fifty percent of the human equation. It defeats the purpose of why you came in the first place. It would be like going to Disney World and hating Mickey Mouse!!
Somehow in this world of crisis, all people want to talk about is crisis. We are all forever transformed as a result of the crisis we have gone through. I am sharing this with you because nobody would intentionally welcome a crisis in their lives. Nobody would intentionally say “Okay, bring on the crisis.”
But I have to tell you there is such a gift available to all of us right now, through the pandemic, with everything we are going through in the world . . . it’s such a blessing. In the welcoming of a crisis, it puts you in the redefinition of yourself.
I like who I am now, especially after how life reduced me to my knees. I like this version of me. As I get older, I appreciate this version of being Panache Desai more and more. And there is an amazing freedom that comes along with having navigated my way through a crisis. Things aren’t such a big deal anymore. Having lived through a hurricane, and a child who almost died, and helping my wife with her health issues, I realize we are so blessed to have gone through these things.
Every energy you are experiencing is meant to ascend, to be used for your ascension. You’re at the point in your awakening where it’s time to allow your personal vibration and frequency to ascend into the frequency of divine love. Freeing you of control and resistance allows every experience to flow through you and facilitates your ascension.
We do this by coming into an inclusive framework of our humanity which is what we’ve been doing in our Call to Calm Meditations over the past 400 and something days, and by allowing all of our energy to flow upward. This is important because you have been conditioned to take your energy and to make it everything outside of you. It’s why you are exhausted. This is how you’ve been trained and how you’ve been disempowered.
The media these days is full of stories of angry disputes between individuals and groups over what each sees as “truth” in the world. Much of it has become centered on making rules/laws about everything from masks to voting restrictions, often from single-minded opinions or self-interest, not mutual caring and cooperation. It seems increasingly hard to believe in the possibility of peace on Earth. Some of us may recall past lives where entire civilizations were destroyed from such conflicts. We had hopeful visions of bringing back a lost world, without the power struggles. But what once was is done. Despite appearances, everything is new this time around.
There are different aspects of the divine. There’s the manifest aspect, which is light, and it’s this reality. Everything in this manifest material world is the form of God. Once you begin to accept the form, you then access the formless nature of God, which is the void and it’s pure potential, pure space.
In India, these two manifest forms of guides are categorized as Shiva and Shakti Shiva. The alpha, the masculine, is the formless Shakti. The creator. The omega is the form. When you have both together, you have the infinite. Everything outside of us, all of these deep esoteric truths and teachings, correspond to everything inside of us.
Liberation is no longer offering any aspect of yourself. The more you are in a loving, inclusive relationship with yourself, the more the masculine and feminine aspects of who you are merge, and you become infinite.
One of the false frameworks we have been conditioned into believing is that you have to think, your mind is important, that it’s a transformational tool and in some way it has the ability to alter your reality. It doesn’t. It’s time we stop empowering the mind.
Let’s start with today where we no longer care about what the mind is doing. Let us become an observer of the mind.
We waste so much time in drama and emotion that is unnecessary. Let’s commit to being peaceful and through that commitment of being peaceful, we disengage from all of the unnecessary emotional reactivity that we once believed to be important. When you get it down to it’s essence, there is very little that is required of you every day. You still have to play your role, respond to life and engage in what you have to engage in at the moment, but it doesn’t have to be that big of a deal any more. And when it stops being a big deal, it’s like you finally get over yourself.
Every morning we have a choice: to see the world as full of blessings or full of problems. The polarities of human perception. It is we who apply the labels, the filtering process. And in doing so, we set ourselves up for either contentment or suffering. Often it is a choice between living from the head or the heart. The mind’s function is to look for problems to solve, so it sees them everywhere. The heart’s purpose is to love, so it sees beauty everywhere. It is of course possible for these two to live in balance, but only if the overall perspective is positive. Then the heart can expand its love to include the mind. Within love, the mind relaxes and looks for peace instead of discord. The two work together to bring about human harmony.
If you’re like many people, you want to know how to vibrate at a higher frequency.
Perhaps you’re someone who gets to a higher vibrational frequency when you meditate or do yoga. Then you step off the mat or cushion and, poof, that state of bliss is gone in an instant.
What I share in The Energy Codes® is how to masterfully work with and move the electromagnetic energy system that is who you are. As you discover how to do this in an intentional way a byproduct is your magnificence reveals and it’s no big deal. As we ignite the circuits to anchor more fully in our core, those higher vibrational experiences we seek in life become sustainable.
As we utilize the mind and breath, and anchor inside the core of the body, we’re able to open up patterns of self-healing and illumination. Your life experience changes. You change your relationships. You change your financial circumstances. You change any aspect of life you’re interested in transforming.
Life is not supposed to be complicated. We are the leader and creator of our life experience.
“For there is always light,
if only we’re brave enough to see it,
if only we’re brave enough to be it.”
With these words, in her inaugural poem “The Hill We Climb,” Amanda Gorman opened the door wide so that the light could shine in, in all its radiance and power. Her words echoed out from the podium around the world and across the centuries. Standing invisible beside her were immigrants and enslaved people, civil rights activists and suffragists, Parkland students and pacifists, poets and day laborers. All those who have envisioned a freer, more compassionate world and lived and died for it were there in spirit to witness a shift in consciousness becoming visible at last.
Have you noticed that innovations and technology are happening faster than ever before? Processor feeds are compounding and batteries sizes are doubling. Technology has reached a critical mass, and it is evolving and expanding at a rate that is startling. In that same way, the momentum you’ve been building in your life, in your own personal evolution is compounding as well.
Humanity has entered a decade, a window of time that is a giant possibility zone, a golden period of time within which we have the capacity to consciously choose to be ourselves in every moment and to opt out of the collective experience of suffering that has been dominating our beloved brothers and sisters for a long time.
There is an absolute perfection and precision to your life. Your life has a purpose and you are loved. You are basically being moved by grace. And this is why there is nothing to resist or to worry about or to be afraid of because life and grace is moving you. There is an incredible destiny unfolding for each and everyone of you.
The chance meeting you had with a human being, a moment of connection you shared with somebody, something that you read, something that you heard, something inspired you and that something was grace. There is a life waiting for you. If you are in the pause, just know that that pause is preparation.
What you are trying to attain isn’t outside of you. You can only ever experience that which is already authentically present within you. We’ve overly complicated everything. You’re here to be you and that means no longer resisting any aspect of you, no longer rejecting yourself, no longer denying yourself, no longer punishing yourself. You see, the key to your transformation is self acceptance and self love.
At some point in addition to restoration of safety, we have to get to a place where we are able to be in our human experience and to realize that being human is the most divine thing of all. We have to lay a foundation of peace and harmony. And on top of that foundation, we can then begin to build a platform of self love and self acceptance.
Ponder this; maybe your soul’s the boss. This part of you, this love, this essential self, whatever you want to call it, is in charge and you are on your soul’s journey. Why? Because your soul is the boss.
Your ego now and again, likes to take credit for doing things. But, guess what! Your ego only likes to take credit for the fun stuff. It’s like the parent who only takes pride in your accomplishments but doesn’t want to look at the full spectrum of the parenting experience.
That’s the ego.
It’s time to support you in living soulfully. Who you are really, is an infinite being. At your very essence you’re infinite. That means that nothing can be added to you and nothing can be taken away from you. It also means you are living on an infinitely evolving spiral staircase.
