Time of Great REIMAGINING

I know that you are going through life changes and I know that you are being called to redefine your lives according to your hearts. And while this can be scary, there is no better time in human history to get divorced, or to go through a medical issue or to look for a new job. There is no better time in history than now.

Learn to Embrace this Quiet Understanding

Regardless of the assertion of any fearful state that seeks to convince you otherwise, apply this one great truth:

That fear must break down if it doesn’t succeed in breaking down your willingness to test its reality. How do you conduct such a test? You learn to look at its presence within you with the quiet understanding that, in reality, nothing in life is fixed. All things change. Everything passes. This is truth. Knowing this to be true is power over fearful states that hold us captive.

Survival and Beyond

We are all survivors of one kind or another. Whether encountering a diagnosis, a deep loss, or daily challenges, each of us passes through various life experiences that can serve as gateways to more expansive awareness. Surviving doesn’t have to mean perpetual struggle. Among breast cancer survivors (of which I am now one), survival has become a badge of honor combined with a positive outlook. Having just completed treatment, I feel both relief and a bit of uncertainty at being on the other side of all that I have experienced since my initial diagnosis last summer. Because I have friends who are long-time breast cancer survivors and because I trust my doctors, I have felt optimistic throughout. Yet the kernel of “what next?” inevitably arises at some point.

Does Your Life Need Pruning?

Rebirthing is a strong part of our life experiences that most people have yet to make a connection with. We die often in this lifetime, and we are born again in this lifetime.

Welcome the Illuminating Moment

Have you noticed yet that wherever you go, the thing that you don’t want the most seems to know where you are? Seriously. It doesn’t just know where you are. The Divine has created the conditions under which a reaction will be stirred and brought into your consciousness so that you can finally realize that running from it doesn’t change the reality of it. Only bringing it into the light of a new order of awareness can bring into its presence the fulfillment of itself. Why? Because you start to understand the reaction is just what you don’t know about yourself yet.

Your Soul Knows What You Need

Your soul is a fundamental part of you and it’s constantly feeling and listening to everything that’s happening in and around your life. It’s almost like a best friend standing by your side. If your soul sees that something’s not right or you’re heading for a negative turn, it’s going to do something about it.

6 Tools For Spiritual Alignment

The beginning of a new calendar year holds a sacred and potent energy.  January may be over, but that doesn’t mean you can’t continue to use this inspiring energy to continue navigating your spiritual journey with confidence throughout the whole year.

February is the perfect time to reflect on your intentions, what you want your year to look like and how you want to feel about your life. In my Vision Board Challenge last month we focused on cultivating a feeling state in order to bring our visions to life. But beyond creating a vision board, how do we consciously work toward that desired feeling state in a way that feels abundant?

The Most Involved Are The Most Evolved

I have always loved the statement “The most involved are the most evolved.” I have experienced this as truth so many times in meeting people throughout the country and learning how valuable their spiritual path is to them and the energy they put into it.

Stephen Covey says, “It is easy to say ‘no’ when deep within there is a burning desire to say ‘Yes.’” A number of years ago, I realized that I longed to have my spiritual path be a priority to me and yet I always had reasons to be BUSY and put it off. I lived in the them / me world. Let me get everything else in order and then I will create this special time for myself. Let me help them and then I can help myself.

Let Your “Higher Self ” Be Your Guide

We’re all here to develop as individualized expressions of God. We gather and commune with others in different ways to remind ourselves of that very nature. We remind each other that we are Divine and that we’re God’s Beloved. And we recognize the crucial nature of being true to ourselves, and of becoming that authentic self.

Spread Your Wings And Fly!

Are you now at a point where you have broken free of the prison of the personality? If so, you are swimming in this ocean of potential and possibilities and from this place the highest manifestation of your life.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve heard spiritual prophecy in my life and I believe we are actually alive at that pinnacle point of prophecy, that time on the planet where individuals like you and I, will once again return to our natural state of being. And in doing so, we shift the course of our collective history as a planet.

The Enlightened Rebel: ACTION WHEN IT MATTERS

Through the years, when someone asked me if I was a person of violence, I would be very quick to say ”no.”

I had only hit one boy when I was in elementary school and it startled both of us so much that we both remember it to this day! I have come to understand through the teachings of Gandhi and his grandson Arun that so much of our violence is passive. It’s the way we are unwilling to speak when we see something absolutely wrong or not in alignment with our values.

It’s when we get angry about a situation and we allow it to take us to the level of the violence, rather than approaching our anger as an Enlightened Rebel. Anger is good medicine. When used as a spiritual human practice, you learn to transcend the emotion
to a place of proactive action. That is when you have discovered the mystery of what life is longing for.

Find Stillness

What doesn’t change?

The Practice:
Find stillness.

Why?

Things keep changing. The clock ticks, the day unfolds, trees grow, leaves turn brown, hair turns gray, children grow up and leave home, attention skitters from this to that, the cookie is delicious but then it’s all gone, you’re mad about something for a while and then get over it, consciousness streams on and on and on.

Many changes are certainly good. Most people are glad to put middle school behind them. I’m still happy about shifting thirty years ago from single to married. Painkillers, flush toilets, and the internet seem like pretty good ideas. It’s lovely to watch grass waving in the wind or a river passing. Fundamentally, if there were no change, nothing could happen, reality would be frozen forever. I once asked my friend Tom what he thought God was and he said “possibility.”

Enter the Peaceable Kingdom of Now

Either we are at peace wherever we are -- because this peace goes with us -- or what we call our peace is a product of some pleasurable condition over which we have temporary command. In situations like the latter, though largely unconscious to us, we sense that our peace is conditional. We know that we must work to keep certain prevailing conditions in place in order to remain at peace. And this, of course, means that we will resist any movement that threatens our desired estate. Clearly such a tentative peace is not true peace at all, because it dwells side by side, in league with an unseen conflict that is a basic requirement of its very existence!

See It! Believe It! Become It!

Is there really such a thing as good luck? Why do some people have all the good fortune, while others seem to miss it? Is there some sort of secret formula for drawing luck into your life?

Let me set you straight! There’s a force that works through your soul determining what’s possible or impossible, showing you the difference between success and failure and above all, helping you discover who you are. This force has no limits to what it can do for you—it’s the power of your belief.

Walk Through the Boundary into a Larger Life

Have you ever noticed that the more negative you get, the more difficult everything about your life becomes, including being able to do the simplest things?

Even your intention to work spiritually in some way -- to develop and transcend yourself -- now sits in the hands of a very negative self, a dense level of self that sees nothing but darkness ahead of it.

This dense sense of how impossible life seems when we’re negative is the direct expression of a certain kind of resistance that wells up in certain “dense” parts of us when life suddenly says -- usually in the form of some unexpected and unwanted event -- “Would you like to live in a larger world, without as much fear? Would you like to be less resentful, worried, or angry? Do you want the power to be more at peace with yourself?”

Get Yourself a Pocketful of Miracles

I’ve always felt a special bond with Dr. Joan Borysenko. I remember watching her on PBS and learning about her groundbreaking work on how our mind and body are connected and how the power of our mind can greatly improve our health. I was thrilled when I got to see Joan live on stage back then at the old Harvard Theater in Cambridge.

Little did I know that years later, I’d be fortunate enough to share the stage with Joan at many conventions and events during our days at Hay House. We’ve done so many shows together, I feel like we’ve become true soul friends!

Tapping Into Your God Given Power

Empowerment is a term used to describe the process of becoming stronger and more confident in one's abilities, often through gaining knowledge or experience. Some people believe that we are all born with an innate power inside of us and it is up to us as individuals to tap into this power and use it for good rather than evil.

Whether you call this ability God-given or something else entirely, there is no denying the fact that some people have an easier time "tapping" into their powers while others struggle greatly. The following steps will help you discover your own inner strength and learn how best to use your power for good!

There is a quote by Albert Einstein that says "If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there; you must go beyond them." This is very true when it comes to tapping into the power within yourself and using it in all aspects of life.

You are born with an amazing power that is not given to anyone else in this world. You have the ability to create your own reality, your destiny and career. Sometimes we get so consumed by what others say or do that it takes away from our true potential and power. The only one who can limit you is yourself! Let's tap into your power and unleash the greatness within you.

Enlightened Rebel: THE EMPTY CANVAS

Who knew anger could be so good for you? The Enlightened Rebel, of course.

This path is infused with fire and whenever you walk it, you travel to the beat of a different drum. You are a rebel with a cause paving the way for others. And when you get to where this part of the journey leads you, understand intuitively the door will open for you. (No need to break it down).

The Enlightened Rebel travels South in the direction of summer. Along this path we learn how to live from a full, clear, strong, and open heart that is filled with compassion and fused with fire.

Think, Move and Act from Peace.

Tapping into the truth has the power to not only transform you, but it will also transform the world. So many of you have a hard time with what’s going on in the world, and yet you participate in it. Your participation is at the level of your pain – emotional pain specifically.

The illusion, or suffering, requires the recycling of emotional pain through the human experience. The very second you become aware of the fact that you are contributing unconsciously to the emotional pain in the world that is the root cause of suffering, you stop. Life then begins to show you where you still have this emotional pain in your vibrational system, specifically in your chakras.

As you begin to give this emotional pain your attention in your awareness, when life happens, it begins to transform. However, the commitment you have to make in order for it to transform, is to think, move and act from peace.

Open Yourself to the Presence of the Ascending Spirit

We have an innate need to rise above ourselves, to open ourselves to higher influences.

Our present condition is imagining what we need to do in order to get above ourselves, never seeing that whatever we imagine belongs to our past, to something known. In a manner of speaking, it belongs to the very earth -- the body of ideas and social values, morals, traditions, religious icons -- all those things that seem to lift us, but in truth sit beneath us and drag us down into their world, into tension and further division.

You are, whether you see it or not, in a constant state of tension. There’s always something that has to be fought with and overcome. And the mind doesn’t discern. It can be fighting with its past. You can be tense because of relationships that have been gone for fifty years, but you don’t know it because the mind calls up an image, imbues it with the sensation and emotion from the experience, and then puts you in a struggle to try to free yourself from it… which is tension.
