Using Your Inner Strength to Change Your Financial Path

Using Your Inner Strength to Change Your Financial Path - Julie Murphy

Making changes to where you’re heading financially can be tough when you’re feeling trapped, let down or trying to bounce back from a negative experience. You might believe that everything you need to ‘fix’ your situation is outside of yourself, but I’m here to reassure you that this couldn’t be further from the truth. Drawing upon your inner strength is what will get you from where you are now to where you want to be. We all have inner strength, it’s just finding ways to unleash it! In this article, I’m going to be sharing some key tips on how finding inner strength is your tool to manifesting money, health, happiness and real wealth.

What is Inner Strength?

There are many interpretations of inner strength but it refers to how we use our mental and emotional behaviors, attitudes and coping skills to keep us grounded, stable and able to adapt in life.

Inner strength can also be described as a belief in yourself that isn’t based upon external validation from others, industries or societies. It’s a deep knowing that although your reality might not be as you desire, you have the power to change it. It’s about choosing to not dwell on your setbacks, downfalls and negative experiences, but instead, see them as something you can learn from and use them as fuel for your growth moving forwards.

If though, like many of us at certain times in life, your inner strength is at an all-time zero, there are a few golden strategies you can start to implement.

Accept your past choices and let go

Our choices are what shape our life. The first step in finding inner strength is to really take inventory of the decisions we’ve made in the past and accept that even if they were the wrong ones, that’s ok. It can be easy to dwell and assign blame on our partners, job, boss or society but ultimately, you are in control of every single choice you make. If you’re ridden with shame or guilt, I want you to be kind, gentle and compassionate with yourself because we all make mistakes. Self-forgiveness and letting go of the past is crucial in activating your inner strength.

Many of us feel unable to move past setbacks because we just can’t let go. People who use their inner strength to create success - and success on their terms from a heart, mind and soul perspective, choose to see the past as a learning experience. They find a way to pivot, take different actions and keep going. They face tough decisions and act accordingly despite the fear or anxiety that may present, and use that to become stronger.

Change your inner dialogue

Inner strength can only be built when you’re taking conscious action to change your inner dialogue. If your inner talk about the past is negative and disempowering, this is only going to lower your level of self-esteem. Everything starts with how we choose to react or respond to our thoughts. There have been numerous studies that show how the thoughts we think shape our health, relationships, money and life experience. Our thoughts even have the power to create either dis-ease in the body or harmony. So, it’s your full-time job to change the thoughts you think and also, the words you use. What I don’t mean, is telling yourself something that simply isn’t true! But choosing to shift your dialogue to one of empowerment. Instead of constantly dwelling on that investment that didn’t work out for example, choose to think about what you can learn from it, how you can make a better decision next time, who might be able to offer you advice, what you can do right now to change where you’re heading financially and what is available to you?

Set boundaries and standards for yourself

It’s time to up your standards! People with inner strength understand that they’re worthy of more and embody that. Our subconscious mind is responsible for 97 percent of everything we do and so this is about rewiring the part of your subconscious brain that keeps telling you you’re not enough or undeserving of financial success and happiness. You need to show yourself that you are worthy of more and take actions accordingly.

Setting higher standards might mean stepping back from people who are a negative influence or who demand too much of you, taking better care of your health, asking your boss for a meeting to discuss a raise you know you’ve worked hard for, or setting a plan to take a different approach with your expenses. When you start to align your outer world with positive actions, people and environments that support who you want to become, manifesting money will come naturally!

I speak more about money manifestation tools in this YouTube video so head there if you’d like to delve deeper.

Take care of yourself holistically

You have to take things right back to basics to lay a solid foundation to then build upon. Creating inner strength can only be cultivated when you’re taking care of yourself physically, emotionally, mentally and if this resonates with you - spiritually. Sleep, nutrition, interaction with others and doing things that allow you to let go, recharge and relax is a key part of the entire picture. Your money is a reflection of everything else going on in your life and if you neglect yourself and your core basic needs, you will pay the price financially in some way.

Find a sense of purpose to drive you

I want you to ask yourself, what is your why? Why do you want to create a better life for yourself? Why is manifesting money important to you? Why do you want to change your financial path? What will that offer you? Would it be flexibility, security, peace of mind, the ability to have enriching experiences, to be able to donate to a charity you’re passionate about, to allow you to live in the full expression of yourself?

Knowing your core why – from a place of heart coherence, is the gateway to activating your inner strength. I would encourage you to write down your ‘why’ and keep it beside your bed so that when you wake every morning and before you go to sleep, it’s there to remind and inspire you. To build inner strength, you have to have some sense of purpose and it doesn’t have to be anything radical either. It just has to possess true meaning to you.
